p-a-r-t-y

So, Cash had a milestone a few days back (9 days ago, to be precise). He celebrated his first birthday! We had family over to celebrate and it was pretty much a ploy to get all Ben's family squished into one room where they were forced to watch my boy toddle around on the rug and say nice things about him. Of course, to return the favor I made taco soup. And if that wasn't enough, we served birthday cake and ice cream. Since my family couldn't take time out of their "busy" schedules to come up and see their adorable little grandson on this momentous occasion, they have asked me to post some pictures of the evening's frivolities. Of course, these pictures don't come close to showing the true liveliness of the party. In fact, Uncle Jason even shed a single tear as he exclaimed,"I can only dream of hosting a party as full of love and laughter and merrymaking as this birthday celebration has been!" What can I say? I throw a darn good party.

Way to represent, Johnny Cage. And way to take time out of your busy cow-milking schedule to support your brother, Maggie.

You even made it into one of the photos, Kat! Good job. Looks like a swingin' party! Happy birthday to the little guy (who lives so close, and yet somehow I've never met him).

Miss Katherine, there was a time I looked up to you because you updated your blog so often. Let's just say that admiration isn't quite as strong as it once was (hint, hint).
