Multi-tasking

A while back Ben and I discovered that dry-erase markers "work" on mirrors. As in, they erase off the mirror. Ever since then our bathroom mirror has always doubled as a message center of sorts... love notes, grocery lists, reminders, etc. Lately we've been trying to write down things we're grateful for every morning- Cash is always grateful for food and Jesus.

Tonight we had an impromptu lesson on outer-space, rocket-ships and astronauts all while brushing our teeth! You had no idea bathrooms had so much potential, now did you?

I'm going to have to try that. I wish I had your artistic talent.

Super fun! I love how the whole family gets in on it.

What is Maggie grateful for?

Remember when Ashley was three and she wanted to have a FHE on how the sun just looked like it was going around the earth, but really the earth was going around the sun? Everybody said I was raising a genius...(well, she did graduate from Berkeley with a degree in physics)....could it be we have another budding scientist or two in the family??

Oh and by the way, I like your thankfulness exercise. Very good example for your children.

maggie was thankful for curiosity... when i asked her what made her happy (because the kids get confused when i say "grateful"), she started rattling off all this unrelated nonsense stuff, so that day I decided she was grateful for curiosity. today she is thankful for hugs. and cash broke out of his trend and is thankful for snow white.
