What's for wunch?

Maggie's favorite question to ask, my least favorite to hear. She always seems to ask this as I'm finally getting the kitchen all cleaned up from breakfast. Anyone have ideas for yummy lunches? Is there anything else besides soup from a can, leftovers or PB & J? Hmmm, maybe I'll make some of those mini pizzas on an english muffin. But, if you have any bright ideas, please leave a comment. I'm seriously struggling here. Lunches (for me) have to be easy to make, quick to clean up, and taste oh so good. Oooo, maybe a salad would make a good lunch? What do you guys usually make???

We're so not creative so I cant wait to see the responses. One thing though... if I know I'm just doing sandwiches and apples or something for lunch I go ahead and make it right after breakfast and put in the fridge so it's ready to go.

Somedays it's just slices of cheese and cubes of ham or turkey with apple slices to dip in peanut butter. Grilled cheese. Mac 'n cheese. Cheese seems to be a key ingredient. See! nothing exciting.

How about having hard boiled eggs on hand for egg salad or deviled eggs? You could arrange veggies in a fun shape. Remember making canned pear bunny rabbits with cottage cheese tails? Hummus and pita bread, cream cheese on whole grain crackers, quesadillas, tuna (or canned chicken) melts...I will even admit that I also have hot dogs on a stick in my freezer for a quick lunch, *gasp*! But overall leftovers are my #1 lunch source.

We like carrots dipped in yogurt, usually with a sandwich. Sometimes I put peanut butter on sliced apples and top with raisins. Or tortilla roll-ups with meat, cheese, whatever!

I don't know if this is a lunch meal, but it sounds good to me right now. Cut a circle out of a piece of bread, but it on your warmed pan and cook your egg fried in the center. I guess you could just make a fried egg sandwich too. Honestly and as you may know, I eat lunch at Mom's house everyday. So I'm guilty of eating her leftovers and sometimes I'm even more guilty of eating blt or tuna sandwiches that she makes for lunch!

You know, even a regular PB&J can become so much more exciting with a cookie cutter.

Hailey loves it when I make her heart-shaped cookies. It proves I made it with love, and the crust is already off!

Easy peasey!

That was supposed to say "heart-shaped SANDWICHES". I don't feed my child only cookies for lunch.

Cross my heart.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how big Maggie is! It's been so long since I've seen you! Your kids are really cute. Nice job on the bang cutting. I cut my bangs once in high school and it was not pretty--probably will never try that one again! I'm going to add your link to my blog so I can keep up with you.

Hope everything is going great! :)
