Homework

Earlier this year I signed up to take a few classes at UVSC so that I might finally start working toward a graphic design/illustration degree... but of course this semester became out of the question because blah, blah, blah pretty much I found some good "excuses" (mostly having to do with two small children). School is on schedule for the summer, though. For reals.

Anyways, I've decided to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge available to me in the form of my very talented bro-in-law who just last night was kind enough to give me a crash course in Adobe Photoshop. Here is my first project, sketched up while watching my two kiddos in the bath (if that wasn't already apparent).

I love it! I think you should frame it and hang it in the bathroom!

Thats impressive. I worked in the financial aid office for a year and a half before having Parker, make sure you at least try to get a grant. If you have any questions I would love to try and answer them. Good luck in school!

i sketched the picture, scanned it in to photoshop and then used my bro-in-law's Wacom tablet to trace over my drawing. Then you paint it using photoshop and ouila!

Kat, that's awesome! I agree with Ashley when she says you should frame and hang it. :)

HEY! It's a perfect work of art for our first book. Now I just need a story about two kids in a bath.

Wow, Kat, I'm really impressed with both of these illustrations (the bath and the bestest friends one). They are so cute! You really SHOULD have them framed and hanging in your kids' room. Or make a story book. Or BOTH!

Hey Kat --
A friend of mine is looking for an artist for a children's book, something about the zoo... your pictures are so cute, would you be interested?
