and (ahem) i'd like to add that the little shirt being modeled by maggie was made SANS PATTERN. yes, that's right. i made a t-shirt entirely on my own. now, i know it's not perfect, in fact i had planned on this being a trial piece and i still plan on making another shirt, but i was pretty darn proud of the fact that my mock-up turned out so well. and under a sweater it's actually pretty cute:

we'll see what else i can conquer in the realm of sewing... i have gobs of fabric i buy with these "fun ideas" in mind. i still have gobs of fabric stashed away and no ideas have come to fruition (until now, of course). so, it's time to get busy. i'll keep you all posted.

Exciting! I LOVE sewing projects! The t-shirt turned out great. You should be very proud. I can't wait to see what else you do! Like you, I have TONS of fabric and craft supplies stored away in a closet. I barely even make a dent in it. I really need to get busy. But at least I can say that I've now almost completed the top to my son's baby quilt. I'm hoping I'll have it finished by his 3rd birthday next month. Think I can do it?
yes... my dream is to someday make a quilt for my bed... we'll see if that one ever happens.
That shirt is darling!!! And made with no pattern- I think it looks great!
Wow. I am in total awe. I own a sewing machine... but I think only my sister has used it, and Greg once to sew the hem of our bed sheet. What would it be like to whip up an adorable little t-shirt! Awesome!
Very cute Kat! I'm very impressed! My sewing machine still sits dusty in a corner...
nice work, miss. i will take one in my size, please.
