Yesterday I somehow found the time (inbetween cleaning the house and watching the kids) to make this cute "vintage-esque" apron. I even made up the pattern all by myself, so I feel very craftsy indeed. This fabric was destined to be an apron, no?

You're totally craftastic.
Is that you posing with the wooden spoon and the spatula? That is very "Martha Stewart"! I love it :)
that is daaarling. Simply fab-u-lous! We must be on similar wave lengths. Just yesterday I was commenting on how domesticated I was becoming, and I had decided it was high time I get myself on of those "half-aprons" to wear with my pearls while I cooked dinner. Jeff thought I was kidding. But I wasn't. Not being nearly as crafty as you, I found one on etsy and ordered it straight away, maybe I'll have to post a picture too?!
Kat-Quick question. In reality, did you name your boy after Johnny Cash? I ask because as I preview your blog page I'm listening to Johnny whom I love dearly.
Super cute! love the ric-rac! I went through the same thing, and bought a ton of super vintage aprons off ebay. I too should post.
anjie... yes, we really truly did name cash after jonny cash. i thought we were just going to have his middle name be cash and that we'd call him jackson or jack, but as soon as he was born ben started calling him cash, and it stuck... and i love it.
I got my apron too! I had it, and my "pearls" on, and dinner cooking when jeff came home that night! he just laughed. He didn't believe me when I said I got one.
