For Melissa Dobby-doo

Here is my post that never was. But now it is.

So, I was going to complain about the winter and how it's still here and how I'm seriously thinking about moving to Bora Bora where it's summer all year long. These are some pictures from last Saturday when it was actually warm enough to go for a (very short) walk. Then we came home for hot chocolate and cake. Yum. I think hot chocolate is the only thing that makes cold days worthwhile. But I will still be drinking cocoa in Bora Bora... oh yes I will.

{The scarf around Maggie's neck was knitted by my cousin Carolyn and the hat was knitted by my Aunt Kathi... obviously I need to be taking lessons from these two. And while I'm giving credit, the brown mug in the last picture was made by my uncle Duane... man, I come from a talented family!}

Today is rather sunny (I love the word "rather") and so I'm taking the kiddos to the park. I should probably take up skiing, or sledding, or snowshoeing so that I don't dread snowy winters here in Utah, although I still favor canning all of this for life on a tropical island. You'd all come visit me, right?

p.s. I just changed my mind about Bora Bora. Although it's 78° there today, it's raining. I choose St. Thomas, Virgin Islands instead where it's 80° and SUNNY.

Also, here are some pictures to tempt you to be my neighbor (I could totally see myself living in that little pink house... reaching out the window and grabbing a banana for breakfast...mmm, that's heaven):

Can I join you? This winter has been too long, too cold, and too snowy!

I would love to be there. You can never have enough snow because if I lived in it, I'd be on the slopes every day - especially this year, all that white stuff is great!! Where in Utah are you?

Andrea- We are living in Lehi right now. And if I could send you all this snow, I would- in a heartbeat. Actually, I don't mind the snow through January, but then I get REALLY antsy for the Spring. I think having really little kids just amplifys that, because they can't handle being outside for too long when it's real cold (at least mine can't...).

Tami- I'll book us a trip right now. Are you leaving your kids with Bryan? Should we invite Kim? (Like she needs a break from her perfect ONLY child. Puh-lease).

Um...that scarf and hat...cutest thing I've ever seen. Well done, cousin Carolyn and Aunt Kathi. Talk about mad skillz. (Can I pull off the use of 'z' in lieu of 's'? No, most likely not, sigh)

And I added you to my msn instant messenger list, per Melissa! Can't wait for another girl's night!

I don't know about USVI and bora bora, but it was high 70s here today in Long Beach and sunny. But it doesn't really matter because I had to work and don't have any cute kids to play with in the sand. I guess it's human nature to want what we don't got...
yours are aDORable!

Maybe you didn't make the scarf, or the hat or the mug, but you did make the kids and they are pretty darn cute (when they are in a good mood)
