Bring on the April Showers!

A few days ago Maggie begged to play during a slight rain storm. I gave in and watched from the window as she proceeded to get herself soaked while stomping in the puddles forming on the driveway. When she looked half drowned (but deliriously happy) I decided she'd had enough and I carried her inside. She, on the other hand, didn't think she'd had enough and so screamed bloody murder once back inside the house. She wanted to play in the "wain". So you can imagine my excitement when I found a matching raincoat and rainboots on the clearance rack at Old Navy. I was so exicted to let Maggie try them out. Well, as fate would have it, we haven't had a single droplet of rain since the purchase, but Maggie still insists on wearing the get up when going outside just in case a puddle might miraculously appear and ask to be jumped in by a toddler. You never know.

Heck, just get the hose out and squirt her down! I'm sure she'd love it, hehehe. Love the raincoat and galoshes, very cute.

Erin's right. The raincoat and galoshes are super cute and totally girly, which is the only way to go. If we get some rain... (If? What am I saying?) WHEN we get some rain, I'll try to send it your way.

Why don't they have cute little boy stuff at Old Navy? I really almost bought that raincoat in hopes that I would someday have a girl that would wear it. All they had for boys was camo (I'm not quite into that right now), and ugly yellow. So he got no raincoat at all, but TWO cute wooden animal umbrellas from Target (one's technically for me).
