Also, I love Pumpkin Pie

The past few days have brought cooler weather here on the Wasatch Front. It's been so nice to open the windows at night and have a balmy breeze float through the house. We've also had a few rain showers that make the air smell all earthy and delicious. The Autumnal Equinox falls on September 22nd this year, and marks the official beginning of Fall in the northern hemisphere. I love this season. The colors, the smells, the food, the holidays, the clothes! There's something so nostalgically comforting about sweaters and scarves and stew. I always get excited and a little giddy when the weather starts to change at the end of summer. Perhaps it's leftover excitement from childhood when the fall meant a new year of scholastic opportunity (or perhaps more appropriately in my case: a new school wardrobe). Or maybe it's the first inklings of anticipation for the holidays that lie ahead. Maybe it's because I married my true love in the fall. Or because I look especially good in sweaters. Whatever the case may be, the past few days have breathed life back into my being. I am ready for the fall. (Except for the new fall wardrobe part... anyone know of some good sales?)

Until next year, summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

My brother Jonathan is no longer highly eligible. Sorry ladies.

And now I have a great new sister in law to boot! The party to celebrate their union was a blast.

I loved all the hydrangeas. So lovely.

Maggie and Cash loved the music.

Almost 7 years of wedded bliss for my love and me...

Jonathan was the last of the Rick Smith clan to get hitched... so now my parents are officially:
Don't they look ecstatic?
